Position: Seasonal Production Technician
Location: Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns – Hudson Gardens
Reports to: General Manager
Position Summary:
The Production Technician is responsible for upholding the highest level of show quality through the production, maintenance and cleanliness of the exhibits, facility, and property. They are responsible for turning on power to exhibits and monitoring and maintaining the exhibit elements during the operation of the event.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to uphold show quality and safety.
- Responsible for turning on, shutting down and troubleshooting operation of show during show operations.
- Diagnose technical issues.
- Properly store equipment and materials.
- Assist with outdoor infrastructure setup.
- Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of exhibits.
- Assist in the maintenance of Information Technology infrastructure.
- Report maintenance and repair issues to the General Manager.

- Attend weekly team staff meetings.
- Develop strategies to decrease production expenses and implement new procedures with GM approval.
- Comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Experience/Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- College degree in theater or applicable trade school or industry equivalent experience preferred.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License.
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of 110volt and low voltage electrical systems and AV equipment preferred.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and repair or offer solutions.
- Eye for detail.
- Be able to work independently and in a team setting.
- Professional presentation and attitude.

- Ability to work a varying schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays, as dictated by business needs.
Physical
- While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, and work in varying environments for up to 5 hours at a time.
- Possess manual dexterity needed to operate a computer
- Ability to work a varying schedule in terms of days and hours, as dictated by business needs.
- Use hands to operate common shop tools and standard office equipment.
- Reach with hands and arms and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Employees may occasionally work in dark conditions with loud noises, confusing lights, and sound, and be exposed to theatrical fog.
- In certain assignments, an employee may work near moving equipment and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
