Position:          Seasonal Production Technician             

Location:          Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns – Hudson Gardens

Reports to:     General Manager

Position Summary:

The Production Technician is responsible for upholding the highest level of show quality through the production, maintenance and cleanliness of the exhibits, facility, and property. They are responsible for turning on power to exhibits and monitoring and maintaining the exhibit elements during the operation of the event.

Position Summary:

Compensation for this position is $16/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to uphold show quality and safety.
  • Responsible for turning on, shutting down and troubleshooting operation of show during show operations.
  • Diagnose technical issues.
  • Properly store equipment and materials.
  • Assist with outdoor infrastructure setup.
  • Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of exhibits.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Information Technology infrastructure.
  • Report maintenance and repair issues to the General Manager.
  • Continually demonstrate Thirteenth Floor’s core values: Excellence, Communications, Adaptable, Teamwork and Fun
  • Attend weekly team staff meetings.
  • Develop strategies to decrease production expenses and implement new procedures with GM approval.
  • Comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • College degree in theater or applicable trade school or industry equivalent experience preferred.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of 110volt and low voltage electrical systems and AV equipment preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and repair or offer solutions.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Be able to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.

  • Ability to work a varying schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays, as dictated by business needs.

Physical

  • While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, and work in varying environments for up to 5 hours at a time.
  • Possess manual dexterity needed to operate a computer
  • Ability to work a varying schedule in terms of days and hours, as dictated by business needs.
  • Use hands to operate common shop tools and standard office equipment.
  • Reach with hands and arms and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Employees may occasionally work in dark conditions with loud noises, confusing lights, and sound, and be exposed to theatrical fog.

Position:          Seasonal Parking Manager                     

Location:          Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns – Hudson Gardens

Reports to:     General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Parking Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of guest and employee parking. They are responsible for executing impeccable customer service and safety through effective management of guest and employee parking. The parking attendants are direct reports to the Parking Manager.

Compensation: 

Compensation for this role is $17-$19/hr

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the location’s parking plan.
  • Continually control the flow of cars into and out of guest and employee lots while maximizing guest satisfaction and safety.
  • Encourage, and maintain internal and cross-departmental communication.
  • Assist with training staff to provide a memorable and uniquely Thirteenth Floor level of service to guests.
  • Ensure staff complies with all safety regulations.
  • Analyze customer feedback and suggest ways to improve experience.
  • Actively listen to and resolve complaints.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the team that encourages high Guest Service.
  • Ensure parking lots, signage and lights are setup and operational prior to opening.
  • Assist with creating effective schedules to ensure work centers are well staffed during peak hours.
  • Maintain high standards for organization and cleanliness throughout the parking areas.
  • Assists the GM in hiring and interviewing parking staff.
  • Conducts a parking department orientation and training prior to opening night.
  • Coordinate supply needs with General Manager.
  • Attend weekly managerial staff meetings.
  • Develop strategies to increase efficiency of parking operations and prototype new parking procedures with GM approval.
  • Identify future management candidates.
  • The employee will comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols
  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Extensive knowledge of team management, leadership skills, conflict resolution and vehicle management strategies.

Position:          Seasonal Sales Manager                        

Location:          Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns – Hudson Gardens

Reports to:     General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Sales Manager leads our seasonal sales team in providing a top-notch sales experience for our guests. They are responsible for directing and overseeing the overall Revenue Streams, Cash Handling and Ticket Scanning Operations including the Box Office, Retail, Concessions, Photo Sales and Additional Ticketed Attractions. They are responsible for executing impeccable customer service, upholding company standards, and maximizing onsite sales and revenue performance. The sales leads, cashiers and bartenders are direct reports to the Sales Manager.

Compensation: 

Compensation for this role is $17-$19/hr.

  • Responsibilities
  • Direct and coach the sales team to provide a memorable and uniquely Thirteenth Floor level of service to guests.
  • Assists the GM in hiring and interviewing Sales staff.
  • Encourage, and maintain internal and cross-departmental communication.
  • Conducts a sales orientation and training prior to opening night.
  • Oversee Cash Handling in accordance with Company policies.
  • Assist with creating effective schedules to ensure performance area is well staffed during peak hours.
  • Ensure staff complies with all safety regulations.
  • Analyze customer feedback and suggest ways to improve experience.
  • Actively listen to and resolve complaints.
  • Maintain cashier POS logins and handle POS operational issues.
  • Count and maintain a bank of change in the safe at the beginning and end of the night.
  • Setup drawers for each cashier and make change for cashiers as needed.
  • Oversee Cashier drops throughout the night and report any discrepancies to the GM.
  • Ensure Box Office security procedures are being followed.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot photo capture and sales system to meet photo sales goals.
  • Maintain a weekly inventory of all merchandise and concession items and ensure Retail items are restocked in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate supply needs with General Manager
  • Ensure all sales operation areas are always clean and professional looking.
  • Attend weekly managerial staff meetings.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales and prototype new sales procedures with GM approval.
